Zitong forest school project is located in Zitong County, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, covering an area of 20000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 22500 square meters, mainly including a large kindergarten with 20 classes and the function of training for children on weekends.

The design concept originates from the "fairy tale tribe in the forest", making full use of the characteristics of the terrain, breaking the main functional volume into parts, surrounding a large central courtyard, naturally blends with the surrounding environment to blur or even eliminate the sense of boundary. Connecting the building through a continuous wide ring corridor to form a whole, architects designed Varied open spaces to meet children's desire for space exploration. Round and oval "huts" are arranged on the edge of the central courtyard, including reception, library, small theater and Museum, to create a children's community.

Using the height difference of about 3 meters between the base and the road, architect design a small park on the top of the vehicle parking that can achieves complete separation of people and vehicles, ensures the safety and environmental quality of the square in front of the school gate, and forms an open public space shared by the kindergarten and the city. The square and garden meet the space needs of a large number of people gathered in the kindergarten's parents' pick-up time, and become an excellent place for people to communicate, and contribute vitality into the future urban life of this area.
