The former site of the Office of the Eighth Route Army in Xinjiang is the location of the office of Xinjiang people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China during the Anti-Japanese War. It reproduces the whole historical picture from 1937 to 1942, with Chen Yun, Deng Fa, Chen Tanqiu, Mao Zemin and Lin Jilu on behalf of the Chinese Communists' anti-Japanese and national salvation movement and indomitable prison struggle in Xinjiang, and is the historical witness of countless martyrs with their lives and blood.

The design aims to strengthen the spiritual symbol, evoke the red memory, and emphasize the design concept of "the red star reflects the Tianshan Mountains". Through the building concession and the gentle slope of the entrance to the north, the new museum weakens the pressure on the volume and space of the old site, presents a modest and simple attitude, and contributes a unique commemorative open space for the city.

The five-pointed star skylight of the roof enriches the aesthetic effect of the three-dimensional space of the building, and the stepped building itself is shaped as a high mountain. The combination of the two emphasizes the original intention of "the red star reflects the Tianshan Mountains".

A timeline from the statue of Comrade Chen Yun on the old site of the memorial hall twists and turns to the central five-star hall of the new hall, conveying the main idea of finally winning through the arduous revolutionary struggle.

The interior design of the new building respects the spatial logic, and makes full use of the space under the building to set up five parts: the preface hall, the five-pointed star atrium, the activity exhibition area and the theme exhibition area. The wall of the five-pointed star atrium, one of the key areas of the room, is made of light-color marble material, with the outline of the shape pattern of Xinjiang Tianshan Mountains with the lamp belt, combined with the five-pointed star skylight presented by the large-span triangular truss structure + tempered glass, and echoing the design concept of "red star reflects Tianshan Mountains" again.
