The 16th WAF World Architecture Festival (2023) was held in Singapore from November 29th to December 1st. As part of the World Architecture Festival (WAF), the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) hosted a grand forum on the theme of "Sustainable Urban Futures" and the 2023 RIBA China Landmarks 100 Awards Ceremony at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
The purpose of this event is to review and celebrate the extraordinary achievements of China's urban construction, and to explore and discuss the unique personality of China's contemporary urban landmarks and their contribution to a sustainable urban future. Dr. Yuan Ye, Chief Architect of China Construction Design and Research Institute, attended the event as the host of the forum and the guest of honor.
The forum was held in four aspects: "diversification", "sustainability", "vitality" and "landmark development in Asian cities". Dr. Yuan Ye was invited to moderate the forum discussion on "Sustainable Characteristics of China's Urban Landmarks", and had a lively discussion on "sustainable spatial form", "sustainable building materials", "sustainable technology and culture" with a number of guests from well-known design institutions in China.

This forum is the second appearance on the international architectural stage after the 28th UIA World Conference of Architects China Pavilion Achievement Exhibition (China Construction Design Station) and the Architect Academic Salon hosted by China Construction Design and Research Institute, demonstrating the unremitting efforts and professional contributions made by China Construction Design and Design in the process of sustainable development of China's urban and rural areas.
